Weston - Mrs. Mary G. (Lavash) DeMeo, of Weston, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland after a long battle with pulmonary disease. Born in Waltham on August 7, 1924, Mary was the daughter of the late Ernest P. and Carrie J. (Sampson) Lavash. She was a Waltham resident for many years before moving to Weston in 1999. Mary worked at the Waltham Watch Factory and was a waitress for many years at the Piety Corner Restaurant in Waltham. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Francis G.'Frank' DeMeo and the loving mother of the late F. Adrian DeMeo. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Maj. Paul W. DeMeo, AUS(Ret.) and his wife, Susan, of Weston; her grandson, Joseph DeMeo of Weston; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
