Waltham - Mrs. Mary C. (Arsenault) Dickson, of Waltham, died Monday, September 6, 2010 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 96.
Mary was born in Grand Digue, New Brunswick on August 2, 1914, a daughter of the late Vital and Melina Arsenault, and had lived in Newton before moving to Waltham forty years ago. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and sewing.
The wife of the late John H. Dickson, she leaves her children, John H. Dickson and his wife, Nancy, of Needham, Mary Ruth Tetreault and her husband, Ron, of North Andover and Dianne Noftsker and her husband, P. Michael, of Needham; her grandchildren, Michael, Brian and Andrew Dickson, Eric, Craig, and Brad Tetreault and Sarah, Kate, and Emily Noftsker; her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Luke Dickson and Aisling, Mairead and Colby Tetreault; her sister, Emilie Fougere of Grande Digue, New Brunswick and many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Joseph Arsenault, Gerald Arsenault, Leon Arsenault, Sara Masse, Loretta Riordan, Elizabeth Yarbro and Diana Cormier.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday, September 9th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.
