Mary Edna Maguire

Mrs. Mary Edna (Muise) Maguire, of Waltham, died on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Wingate of Sudbury. She was 85.

Edna was born in Waltham on May 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Poirier) Muise. She was raised and educated in Waltham where she resided for her entire life until a move to Wingate of Sudbury. She was a past vice president of the Pine Street Elderly Housing Association and for many years had worked at Fotobeam Corporation in Waltham. Her favorite things to do were visit with family, look at all her old photos from throughout the years, see all her friends on Saturday nights, walk along Moody Street and during the holidays, see Waltham Common decorated with lights.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Maguire; her children, David Maguire (Amy) of E. Bridgewater, Joseph Maguire (Barbara) of Cleveland, OH, John Maguire (Cindy) of Fitchburg, and Laurel Tibbetts (Larry) of NH; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was also the mother of the late Lawrence Maguire and sister of the late Richard Muise and Mary Louise Mortonson.

Family and friends will honor and remember Edna's life by gathering in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday March 24th where her Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m.
