Mary Ellen Pictour

Miss Mary Ellen Pictour, of Waltham, died Monday, August 12, 2024 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 60.

Mary Ellen was born in Waltham on June 12, 1964, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Kennedy) Pictour, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.

She worked for years in the cafeteria and kitchen at Brandeis University until her retirement. Mary Ellen was a talented line dancer and will long be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

She leaves her sister, Mary Gail Lane (Bob) of Waltham, her brother, John Pictour of New Hampshire; her brother-in-law, Roy McLaughlin of Venice, Florida; several nieces and nephews, and her best friends, Sue and Ben.

Mary Ellen was predeceased by her sisters, Janice McLaughlin and Carol Melanson (late James).

Funeral services were private.
