Waltham – Miss Mary A. Ford of Waltham died Monday August 2, 2004 in Winchester Hospital. She was 86. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Ernest B. and Gertrude A. (Covell) Ford, she worked for many years for the New England Telephone Company as an administrative secretary. She lived in Watertown before moving to Waltham 40 years ago. She is survived by her devoted sister, Jane F. Gladney of Waltham; two nieces, Michelle A. Harris of Vermont and Roberta J. Youso of Wisconsin and many grand nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Lt. Ernest B. Ford Jr. The Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours are Thursday 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Boston Catholic Television, 55 Chapel Street, Box 1909 Newton, MA 02460 or to Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Dept. of Oncology, 736 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA 02135.
