Mary J. Gaidys

Waltham - Mrs. Mary J. (Ryan) Gaidys of Waltham died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Chetwynde Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Newton. She was 89. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Cunniff) Ryan, she was a buyer for Grover Cronin’s in Waltham for many years. She was a former member of the Waltham Bowling League and Waltham Square Dancers. She was the wife of the late William J. Gaidys, sister of the late John A. Ryan and Margaret F. Thomas, and aunt of the late Cheryl Keady. She is survived by one brother, Edward J. Ryan of Chelsea; one sister, Anne T. Westall of Williamstown; six nieces and six nephews, including her niece Marilyn I. Thomas with whom she made her home and ten grand nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9: 30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
