Mary R. Kendall

Waltham - Mrs. Mary R. (Matheson) Kendall, of Waltham, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Dorothy Frances Home in Waltham. She was 81. Born in Somerville, a daughter of the late Donald and Johanna (MacDonald) Matheson, Mary worked for thirty years at Star Market in Waltham as a customer service clerk. Mary enjoyed traveling with her family and loved her garden. Mary had been a resident of Waltham for over fifty years. She was the sister of the late Harold, Howard, Donald, Fred and Bruce Matheson. Mary leaves her beloved husband of sixty years, John L. Kendall; one daughter, Susan M. Kadzis and her husband, John, of Wayland; one son, John S. Kendall and his wife, Gayle, of Medfield; one sister, Marjorie Matheson of Woburn; three grandchildren, Deborah L. Kendall, Steven L. Kendall, and John R. Kendall, four nieces and one nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
