Waltham – Mrs. Mary (Giannantonio) Deveau Kittredge, of Waltham, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 94.
Mary was born on August 12, 1924 in Everett a daughter of the late Felix and Anni (Nerrone) Giannantonio and was raised in Everett as well. She lived many years in Waltham and in Plymouth before returning to Waltham in 1999.
She worked over ten years at Waltham Hospital as a cashier and later at Middlesex Family Cooperative Bank.
She was predeceased by her first husband of 32 years, Wilbert E. Deveau and second husband of 17 years, Edward G. Kittredge; her grandson, Michael Deveau; her deceased siblings and their spouses, Victor Giannantonio and his wife, Rose, Guido Giannantonio and his wife, Grace, Lucy Romano, and her husband, Joseph , and Santina Archdeacon.
She leaves her children, Barbara A. Foley, and her husband, David, of Waltham, John E. Deveau, and his wife, Patricia Luckey, of Pawley's Island, South Carolina and James D. Deveau, and his wife, Fay, of Wenham and Pawley's Island, South Carolina; her step-son, Edward C. "Kip" Kittredge, and his wife, Marieanne, of Peabody; her grandchildren, Michele Deveau of Jewett Connecticut, Jamie Deveau of Norwich, Connecticut, Matthew Foley and his wife, Phallen, of Newport Beach, California, Brian Foley of Brighton, Heather Triglio and her husband, Michael, of Georgetown, and Evan Kittredge and his wife, Jolyn, of Wakefield; her great-grandchildren, Logan Murray, Ashley Murray, Madeline Triglio, James Trigilio, Sera Trigilio, Cole Kittredge, Emilia Kittredge, Wes Foley and Vin Foley; her sister, Eleanor Colameta, and her husband, Robert, of Everett, her sister-in-law, Gloria Deveaux and her late husband, Edgar, of Peabody, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, September 1st before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
