Waltham – Miss Mary Louise Ryan, of Waltham, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at West Newton Healthcare following a period of declining health. She was 69.
She was born in Boston on July 1, 1952 a daughter of the late William 'Laddie' and Grace (Mulvihill) Ryan. Raised in Waltham she was a graduate of Waltham High School. She then attended Regis College where she studied German and graduated with honors. She was drawn to the country by its people, culture and architecture and after college she moved to Germany and lived there for a time.
Mary Louise was always able to keep a sense of humor through struggles and had a kindness in her heart. She was also an avid Red Sox fan, and made exceptional fudge.
She leaves her brother and sister, Kevin W. Ryan and his wife Mary Ellen (Keohane) and Christine M. Ryan, all of Waltham; her nephews, Mike and Kat Ryan, Gregory and Andrea Ryan, Jeff and Beth Ryan, Rob Ryan, Christopher Ryan and Nicole Fisk and Matt Ryan; several grandnieces and grandnephews and their cousins, originally from Scituate, the Edwards family.
Mary Louise was also a sister of the late Robert M. Ryan.
