Waltham - Mrs. Mary T. (Casey) Maloney of Waltham, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in her home. She was 91. Mrs. Maloney was born in Brighton on November 2, 1925, a daughter of the late James P. and Julia J. (Sheehan) Casey.
Mary had lived in Brighton and Watertown before moving to Waltham nine years ago. She was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton School in Boston and had worked as an executive secretary for Fay, Spofford, and Thorndike Company for over forty-five years, first in Boston, then in their Burlington office.
Mary was the wife of the late William A. Maloney. She is survived by her children, Mary T. "Terry" Maloney-Rose and her husband, Greg, of Delaware , OH and William A. "Bill" Maloney, Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Acton, ME; her grandchildren, Gavin Maloney, Jeff Rose, and Kate Rose; her sister Margaret A. Heneghan of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late James C. Casey, Joseph F. Casey, Elizabeth C. Chancholo, and William V. Casey.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
