Mary Elaine Sybil Martin

Weston – Mrs. Mary Elaine Sybil (Melanson) Martin, of Weston, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 70. Born in Brighton, a daughter of the late Jean B. and Mary H. (Doucette) Melanson, Sybil was a homemaker who had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Weston thirty-five years ago. She was a 1954 graduate of Saint Charles High School in Waltham. She leaves her husband, Richard “Pudgy” Martin, Jr., her children, Karen L. Martin and Richard P. Martin, III both of Weston, two brothers, Ben Melanson of Rochester, New Hampshire and Charles Melanson of Sudbury, her beloved dog, P.J. and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
