Mrs. Mary E. (LeBlanc) Melanson of Waltham died Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 92. Born in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada, Mrs. Melanson had lived in Waltham since age 16. She was an inspector for ten years at the Raytheon Company and had also worked for seventeen years at the Bergeron Company. Mrs. Melanson was a member of the Ladies Guild at Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham. Mrs. Melanson was the wife of the late Maxime J. Melanson, the mother of the late Anna Melanson, the grandmother of the late James M. Melanson, Jr., the daughter of the late Marc and Adeline (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, and the sister of the late Laurie, Antoine, and Gerard LeBlanc and Lena Doucet. She is survived by her children, James P. Melanson and his wife, Carol, of Waltham and Paul J. Melanson and his life partner, James A. Sickler, of Milford; her grandchildren, David, Mark, Kenneth, Glenn, and Denise Melanson; her sisters, Ida Doucet and Bibienne Doucet both of Waltham and Anna LeBlanc of Memramcook, New Brunswick; seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
