Mary T. (Parsons) Muise

Waltham – Mrs. Mary T. (Parsons) Muise, of Waltham, died at home on Thursday, January 11, 2018. She was 89.

Mary was born in Waltham on November 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Howard and Esther (Murphy) Parsons, and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.

For years Mary worked as an administrative aide and receptionist at Waltham's Stanley Senior Center . . . a job that she loved and the people that she worked with even more. Before that she worked at Little, Brown & Company.

Mary was married to Daniel H. Muise for forty-seven years before his death on January 11, 1995. Dan and Mary and their children spent many happy summers with a yearly vacation to Wells Beach, Maine. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafting and knew her way around the kitchen. Her homemade cookies and soups were family favorites.

She leaves her children, Dianne Scafidi and her husband, Bill, of Randolph, Peggy Delaney and her husband, Geoff, of Framingham and Jim Muise and his wife, Maryjean of Billerica; her grandchildren, Craig Scafidi, Stephanie Scafidi Collopy and her husband, John, Derrick Muise and his fiancé, Rachel Wesley, Ashley Muise and Heather Delaney; her great-grandchildren, Rebecca Scafidi and Addyson Muise; her sisters and brothers, Barbara Cannistraro of Waltham, Howard Parsons of Brockton, Florence Nisbet of Marlborough, Patricia Fox Santello of Falmouth and John 'Jack' Parsons of Hudson and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was also the mother of the late Daniel Muise, grandmother of the late Patrick Delaney and a sister of the late Elizabeth Harron and Roy Parsons.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, January 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning when her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
