Mary G. Mulone

Waltham – Miss Mary G. Mulone, of Waltham, died Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 93.
Mary was born in Boston's North End neighborhood on July 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Calogero and Diega (Cincotta) Mulone. She moved with her family as a youngster to East Boston where she graduated from East Boston High. In 1981 she moved to Waltham.
She was a longtime member of the Children of Mary Society at Saint Lazarus Church in East Boston. Mary had a penchant for math and became a data entry manager and training supervisor for Liberty Mutual Insurance where she worked for more than forty years. She loved reading, history, and french.
Mary will long be remembered by all who knew her as being warm, loving, kind and generous. She was known as "Auntie' by her beloved nieces, nephews and their families and friends who cherish their lifelong memories and the lessons she taught them . . . first and foremost, to never say an unkind word about anyone.
Mary leaves her brother, Joseph A. Mulone (Charlotte) of Waltham; her sister, Gilda Melota (Robert) of Peabody; her nieces and nephews, Dianna List (John) of Auburn, Frannie Roberto (Ralph) of Marblehead, Anthony Mulone (Joyce) of Marston Mills, Robert Melota (Karen) of N. Andover, Christina Fox (Donald) of Concord, Lora Mulone-Quinlan (Kevin) of Lexington and Joseph Mulone of Waltham and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was also a sister of the late Anthony Mulone (late Anna) and Vincenza Mulone and aunt of the late Mary Mulone.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, February 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
