Mary C. Murphy

Waltham - Mary C. ‘Connie’ Murphy, of Waltham, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous four year battle with breast cancer. She was 74 years old. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth A. 'Betty' Smith of Weston; two nieces, one nephew, and two grandnieces. She was also a sister of the late Dorothy Hughes. Connie was born in Newton, a daughter of the late Richard and Alice (Deagle) Murphy and had lived in Waltham for over 45 years. She worked as a secretary at the Marriage Tribunal Office for the Archdiocese of Boston in Brighton for many years, retiring in 1997. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter Street, Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451.
