Waltham – Mrs. Mary F. (Arsenault) Nevard of Waltham died Sunday, July 25, 2004 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 83. Born and raised in Waltham she was a 1939 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham where she had perfect attendance for four years and she had been a founding member of Saint Jude Parish in Waltham in 1949. Until recently she had been treasurer for the past ten years for the South Side Senior Citizens Club and had volunteered for twelve years with the Waltham Meals on Wheels program. Mrs. Nevard was the wife of the late William H. Nevard, the mother of the late Richard J. Nevard, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Toohey) Arsenault and the sister of the late Walter Arsenault. She is survived by her children, Barbara E. Valleli of Burlington, David W. Nevard and Carol J. Elliott both of Waltham, and Kenneth E. Nevard of Pepperell; her grandchildren, David E. Valleli and Amy Romano; her great-grandchildren, Jacob P. and Luke P. Valleli; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in Mrs. Nevard’s memory to Habitat for Humanity, 273 Summer Street, 3rd Floor, Boston, MA 02210-1510 would be appreciated.
