Weston – Mrs. Mary V. (O’Leary) Noone, of Weston, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Mary was born in St. John, New Brunswick, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary A. O’Leary, and came to Boston in her early twenties. She moved to Waltham in 1955 and had been a resident before moving to Weston in 2004. She was a longtime parishioner at Saint Jude Church in Waltham where she had been a member of the Ladies Sodality. After her move to Weston she joined Saint Julia’s Parish where she volunteered in the Thrift Shop.
The wife of the late John J. Noone, she leaves her children, Sharon A. Morrison and her husband, Russell, of Dayton, Ohio, Deborah J. Noone of Waltham, Mary Anne MacKenzie and her husband, Jerome, of Waltham, Kathleen P. Goode and her husband, Tim, of Weston and John J. Noone and his wife, Jill, of Weston; her grandchildren, Laura and Shawn Morrison, Molly and Margaret MacKenzie, Timothy and Jacqueline Goode and Sadie and John Noone; her sister, Anne McLean of Maryland and several nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Lawrence O’Leary.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, February 27th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
