Waltham – Mrs. Mary J. (O'Brien) Reynolds, of Waltham, died on January 28, 2014 in Norwood Hospital. She was 95.

Mary was born in Charlestown on September 10, 1918, a daughter of the late Justin and Mary (Goulding) O'Brien. She was a graduate of Somerville High School with the class of 1936 and worked for many years as an office manager at Stop and Shop Company in both Arlington and Cambridge. She met her future husband, William S. Reynolds, in Charlestown on the fourth of July and the couple married on July 29, 1940. Known for having a sweet tooth she loved to bake all kinds of desserts for her family. She was a wonderful mother, nana and great-nana. She loved life and touched the hearts of everyone she knew. She loved to sing and dance and was happiest when amongst her family.

She was the wife of the late William S. Reynolds and is survived by her children, Justin Reynolds and his wife, Marilyn, of Burlington, William Reynolds and his wife, Marie Ann, of Marlborough and Dorothy Donovan of Waltham; grandmother of Justine Roche and her husband, Robert, David Donovan and his wife, Dana, Linda Hochertz and her husband, Marty, Kenny Reynolds and his late wife, Rhonda, Debbie Barker and her husband, Jeff, Donna Ferderico and her husband, Tony, and Steven Reynolds and his wife Doris; great-grandmother of Katlyn, Nicole, Sean, Jessie, Jack, Michael, Renee, Danielle, Brittany, Kristin, Taylor, Tiffany, Matthew, Christopher, Ryan, Amy and Jill.

She was the sister of the late Connie O'Brien, Justin O'Brien and Catherine Donahue and mother-in-law of the late Jack Donovan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours on Sunday, February 2nd from 2 to 5 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
