Mary V. (Larkin) Robinson

Mrs. Mary V. (Larkin) Robinson, of Sandwich and formerly of Newton, died peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in her daughter's home in Waltham following a period of declining health. She was 87 years old.
Mary was born in Boston on May 3, 1933, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Langan) Larkin. She was raised in Brighton and was a graduate of Our Lady of the Presentation Academy in Brighton. After that she earned her bachelor's degree from Boston State Teacher's College on Huntington Avenue.
Until her retirement she was the longtime first grade teacher at Saint Raphael's School in West Medford.
On June 29, 1957 she married Allston native Francis J. Robinson in Our Lady of the Presentation Church in Brighton. They lived in Brighton before moving to Newton in 1976 and following their retirement made Sandwich their home.
Mary was a devoted member of Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich where she was a Eucharistic minister and longtime member of the choir.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Robinson and is survived by her children, Francis J. Robinson Jr. (Peggy) of Manchester, New Hampshire, Julie M. MacDonald (Aric) of Waltham and Dianne Robinson of Marshfield; her grandchildren, Lindsay Evans, Shane and Corinne Robinson, Amanda and Dylan MacDonald and Nicholas and Nathan Carr; her brothers, Francis Larkin of Acton, Thomas Larkin of Falmouth and William Larkin of Marblehead and many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was also the sister of the late Madeleine Loan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, November 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning in Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, Sandwich. Burial will follow in Sandwich Town Cemetery.
