Mary C. Russo

Waltham - Miss Mary C. Russo, of Waltham, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Newton-Wellesley Alzheimer's Center in Wellesley. She was 93. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late John and Onofria Louise (Famularo), Mary was a lifelong resident of Waltham. She worked for the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham as a secretary until her retirement. Mary was a 1933 graduate of Saint Charles High School and had been a member of the Sweet Adeline's choral group. Mary leaves her brother, Joseph F. Russo and his wife, Emilie, of Waltham; three nephews, Jeffrey G. Russo of Waltham, John C. Russo and his wife, Susan, of Nashua, New Hampshire and Joseph F. Russo, Jr. of Worthington; her beloved best friend, Pauline Cormier of Waltham and many grand nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 12 noon. Burial will in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Lodge Women's Shelter, 205 Bacon Street, Waltham, MA 02451.
