Mary P. Walsh

Waltham - Mrs. Mary P. (Bresnahan) Walsh of Waltham died Friday, July 23, 2004 at Mercy Hospital, Portland, Maine. She was 80. Born in Saugus, a daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Maguire) Bresnahan, she was raised and educated in Lynn and moved to Waltham more than forty-five years ago. Until her retirement, she worked as a secretary for many years at Saint Charles School in Waltham and at Our Lady Help of Christians High School in Newton. She was a long-time parishioner at Saint Jude Church in Waltham where she had been a member of the Ladies Sodality. The wife of the late William J. Walsh, she leaves her children, Mary P. Walsh of Houlton, Maine, Christine A. Hache of Waltham, Kathleen Wood of Gorham, Maine, William J. Walsh, Jr., of New Ipswich, New Hampshire and Thomas K. Walsh of Waltham; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John P. and Thomas M. Bresnahan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
