Mary C. (Palmer) Wills

Waltham – "Having someone to love is family . . . having somewhere to go is home . . . having both is a blessing."

Mary was a wonderful wife and mother to her four children. She worked at the Chateau for forty years where she made many lifelong friends. Later in life she worked at Jason B. Williams Salon.

Mary enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Keno and scratch tickets were a must. She loved spending time with her family. Mary always made summers by the pool, vacations to the ocean and Christmas such wonderful memories that will leave a mark on her family to remember forever.

Mary C. (Palmer) Wills was 72 when she died at her Waltham home on Monday, December 7, 2015. She was born in Waltham on February 21, 1943, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ann (MacRae) Palmer, both natives of Nova Scotia and she lived in Waltham all of her life.

She leaves her husband, Willard W. Wills; her children, Lisa A. Wills of Waltham, Karen L. Downs and her husband, Thomas, of Nashua New Hampshire, Wendy E. Panto and her husband, Michael, of Brockton, and Mark W. Wills and his wife, Charlotte, of Waltham; her grandchildren, Nicole Kilby, Torri Paradise, Jill Brittain, Taylor Godin, Jenna Godin, Thomas Downs, Kevin Downs, Sarah Panto, Michael Panto, Kayla Willls and Mark Wills, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Logan Kilby, Lexi Paradise, Liam Paradise, and Robbie Brittain; her sister, Carole "Bootsie" Clarke and her husband, Paul, of New Orleans Louisiana; her niece, Shawna Gongora and her dearest friend, Lorraine Dowcett, of Waltham.

Mary was also the aunt of the late Michael and Richard Smith.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, December 13th, from 3 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
