Matthew P. Caban

Waltham – Mr. Matthew P. Caban, of Waltham, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. He was 24.

Matt had lived in Waltham for most of his life and was a 2010 graduate of the Cotting School in Lexington and graduated this year from Middlesex Community College in Bedford. He was a yearly participant in Special Olympics and a fan and follower of NASCAR racing.

He leaves his parents, Deborah A. Ritcey and her husband, Doug MacKay, of Derry, New Hampshire and Paul G. Caban and his wife, Luci, of Waltham; his step-brother, Nicholas Ritcey of Derry, New Hampshire; his step-sister, Julissa Dwyer of Littleton; his grandparents, Kevin and Eileen Ritcey and John G. Caban, all of Waltham and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matthew was also a grandson of the late Antoinette (Cucinotta) Caban.

Family and friends will honor and remember Matt's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, November 16th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cotting School, 453 Concord Avenue, Lexington, MA 0242.
