Melba L. Fernandez

Brighton – Mrs. Melba L. Fernandez, of Brighton, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Golden Living Chetwynde Nursing Center in West Newton. She was 72. Born in Cuba, Melba emigrated to the United States in 1961 and worked as a caregiver in private homes for many years. She was a graduate of Brookline High School. She leaves her daughter, Sarah Fernandez of Jamaica Plain and her cousin, Hector Maga of Jamaica Plain. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kingdom Hall, 1672 Washington Street, West Newton. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
