Waltham Mr. Merton L. Gordon, of Waltham, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 in Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. He was 84. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Gordon was a master electrician and was a member of the I.B.E.W., Local 103 until his retirement. Mr. Gordon was a World War II veteran who served with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Lexington Elks and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Elinor F. (Buckley) Gordon, his sister-in-law, Yvonne Hanley of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Merton L. Gordon, Sr. and Hazel P. (Clarke) Gordon and the brother of the late Paul and Henry Gordon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are omitted.
