Waltham – Mr. Michael P. Broderick of Waltham died Sunday, October 31, 2004 in his home. He was 76. Born in Galway, Ireland, Mr. Broderick had lived in Waltham since 1954. He was the foreman for Calvary Cemetery in Waltham where he had worked from 1957-1993. Mr. Broderick was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 14, in Watertown as well as a former member of the Waltham Lodge of Moose. Mr. Broderick was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Monahan) Broderick. He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Broderick of Allston, John Broderick of Galway, Ireland, Bro. Seamus Broderick of Papau New Guinea, and Martin Broderick of Watertown; his sisters, Mary Gillespie of Framingham and Kathleen Daly of Galway, Ireland; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham, at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
