Michael A. Dowcett

Waltham – Mr. Michael A. Dowcett of Waltham died Saturday, January 24, 2004. He was 29. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Dowcett was a licensed electrician. Mr. Dowcett was a 1992 graduate of Waltham High School and after that graduated from Gould School of Construction. He was an avid sports fan who played in the Marlborough weekly hockey program. Mr. Dowcett is survived by his parents, Frederick J. and Lorraine P. (Cormier) Dowcett of Waltham; his brother, Joseph F. Dowcett of Watertown; his sisters, Patricia A. Dowcett and her husband Brian Bettencourt, of Cheshire, CT and Kathleen A. Dowcett of Waltham; his grandmother, Florence (Venuti) Cormier of Waltham; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Joseph Cormier and William F. and Elizabeth A. (Devane) Dowcett. The Funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
