Michael Greco

Waltham – Mr. Michael Greco of Waltham died Sunday, April 11, 2004 in New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. He was 78. Born in Boston, Mr. Greco had lived in Waltham for forty eight years. He was an electrician for the Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford for many years. Mr. Greco was a World War Two Army Veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion, Post 156 both in Waltham. Mr. Greco was the Past President of the San Cologero Society in Boston. He was an avid fisherman and baseball fan. Mr. Greco is survived by his wife, Josephine (Gemellaro) Greco; his daughter, Frances Silveira and her husband, Thomas, of Waltham; his sons, Anthony Greco of Waltham and Michael Greco and his wife, Michelle, of Lynn; his granddaughter, Regina Silveira; his sisters, Lillian Schatzki and her husband, Thomas, of Berkeley CA, Etta Sannella of Bridgeport CT, Sr. Trinitas Greco and Marie Greco both of Boston; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Greco was the father of the late Janice Zarkowski, the son of the late Anthony and Francesca (Maggiotta) Greco, and the brother of the late Frank Greco. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 am. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1 pm. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
