Waltham – Mr. Michael J. Keating, of Waltham, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home. He was 32.
Michael was born in Waltham on August 18, 1982 and had been a lifelong resident. He was a 2000 graduate of Waltham High School and earned a degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He was a self-employed accountant.
He leaves his parents, Joseph R. and Lynne C. (Gregoricus) Keating of Waltham; his best friend and brother, James M. "Jimmy" Keating of Waltham; his aunt and uncles, Michael Gregoricus and his wife, Bernadette, of Waltham, Joan Andress of Brockton and Paul Keating of Waltham; his cousins, Zachary Gregoricus of Waltham, Christine Andress of Brockton and Cheryl Hermenau of Carver; his granduncle and godfather, Woody Gregoricus, of Belmont and his dear friend, Tracy McCarthy of Roslindale.
Michael was also the grandson of the late James "Slim" and Martha Gregoricus and Joseph and Helen Keating.
Family and friends will honor and remember Michael's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, April 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
