Framingham – Mr. Michael J. Mullane, Jr., of Framingham, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 73.
Michael was born in Brighton on April 8, 1937, a son of the late Michael J., Sr. and Mary (Calvey) Mullane. He served proudly in the United States Navy as a deep sea commercial diver and was the CEO of Mullane & Son Company. He had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Framingham five years ago. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and devoted all his time to his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
He leaves his wife Patricia J. (Laezza) Mullane; his children, Deborah A. Montesanti and her spouse, Robert, of Tewksbury, James M. Mullane and his spouse, Michael R. Callahan, of Framingham and Linda S. Ford and her spouse, Jason, of Shrewsbury; his grandchildren, Michael Montesanti, Julia Ford, Brittney Montesanti, and Marc Montesanti; one brother, John Mullane of Haverhill; one sister, Hester Taback of New York; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Michael’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. on Friday when his funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
