Michael T. O'Dea

Waltham - Mr. Michael T. O’Dea, Sr., of Waltham died Monday December 5, 2005 at Northeast Specialty Hospital in Waltham. He was 81. Born in Norwood, a son of the late Michael and Nora (Healy) O’Dea, he was a manager for many years at the Plimpton Press Company in Norwood. Mr. O‘Dea was a parishioner of Saint Jude Church in Waltham. During World War II, he served with the Unites States Navy for three years aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Yorktown. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Elsa (Brunnhuber) O’Dea; two sons, Michael T. O’Dea, Jr. and Richard C. O’Dea, both of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will offered Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham.
