Wareham - Mr. Michael S. Rotchford, of Wareham, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, October 21, 2011 in his home. He was 52.
Mike was born on April 1, 1959 in Waltham a son of Edward R. Rotchford and the late Margaret "Barbara" (Curtin) Rotchford. A 1977 graduate of Waltham High School he was a life-long resident until moving to Wareham 12 years ago.
He owned and operated Rotchford Home Improvement Company before taking a position as property manager at Audi of Brookline.
As a carpenter by trade his signature trademarks were a pencil tucked by his ear and his tape measure in hand. Remembered and admired as a talented and skilled carpenter Mike was handy by nature and always willing to lend a hand to his family, friends and neighbors. In stature he was built like a bull but described by his family as soft as a teddy bear. With a contagious and affable spirit he had a wonderful ability to make people comfortable and laugh even up to his dying days. He will be so very missed.
Mike leaves his wife, Virginia M. "Ginger" (Cobuccio) Rotchford; his children, Edward R. "Eddie" Rotchford, of Wareham, Jon S. Poulack of Brockton, Stephen J.
