Michael Louis Young

Mr. Michael Louis Young of Waltham died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 24, 2012. He was 69. Michael was born in Boston on November 6, 1942, a son of the late Carl Joshua and Mary Agnes (McCarthy) Young.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen M. (Mannix) Young; his children, Gregory Young and wife Michele of Maynard, William Young and wife Linda of Waltham, Justin Young and wife Amy of Wilmington, Stacey Boczenowski and husband Brett of Woburn, and Sean Young and wife Corinne of Woburn; his grandchildren, Cullen, Aidan, Meghan, Kyle, Brenna, Gianna and Logan Young and Brayden and Addison Boczenowski; his brothers, Carl Young of Medfield, Robert Young of Waltham, Thomas Young of Norwood, Kevin Young of Medford, Steven Young of Brighton, and Richard Young of Dover; his sisters, Ann Michalski of Attleboro and Alice McNamara of Norwell; and many nieces, nephews and family members.

Family and friends will honor and remember Michael's life by gathering for calling hours in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rt. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, from 4 to 8 p.m.and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
