Waltham – Mr. Michele R. Tumminelli of Waltham died Monday, December 12, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 84. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Phillip and Rose (Bellofatto) Tumminelli, Michele was a lifelong resident. He worked as a plant superintendent in the printing business for the Alpine Press Company and Security Colombian, both in Boston. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army where he was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. He was a member of the Waltham Disabled American Veterans. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading. He was the brother of the late James Tumminelli, Rose Demeo and Beatrice Passerello. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Helena M. (Giampietro) Tumminelli; 3 children, Michele Largey of Framingham, Stephen C. Tumminelli and his wife Jane of Pennsylvania and Richard P. Tumminelli and his wife Valarie of Ashland; 3 grandchildren, Grace, Alexander and Sara and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Corpus Christi Church, 41 Ash Street, Auburndale, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
