Mildred M. Gisiger

Waltham – Miss Mildred M. Gisiger, of Waltham, died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Lexington Health Care Center. She was 82. Born in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Hans and Florence (Fleischer) Gisiger, Mildred came to Waltham as a young girl and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and had attended Lasell College. Until her retirement, Mildred worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Before that, she also worked for Simplex Wire and Cable and for the Jordan Marsh Company. She leaves her brother, Conrad J. Gisiger and his wife, Barbara, of Waltham; her nephew, John Gisiger and his wife, Kathee, of San Diego, California; two nieces, Beth Gisiger of Waltham and Barbara Gisiger of Lexington and her grandniece, Ashley Gisiger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
