Londonderry, NH – Mrs. Mildred P. (Clinton) Noone, of Londonderry, formerly of Waltham died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She was 95.
Known affectionately as 'Millie' to family and friends she was born in Cambridge on July 1, 1923, the second youngest of thirteen children born to the late Thomas J. and Agnes (McGuire) Clinton. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Cambridge.
She worked for a time as a waitress at Weston Golf Club before staying at home to raise her children. Before moving to Waltham in 1967 she and her family had lived in Cambridge and in Burlington.
Millie was long active at Saint Jude Parish in Waltham where she had been a Eucharist Minister, Lector, and member of the Ladies Sodality and the Altar Guild
The wife of the late George R. Noone she leaves her sons, George T. Noone of Quincy and Michael S. Noone (Linda) of Londonderry, New Hampshire, her grandchildren, John Doyle, Jennifer Mandolare (Stephen), Michael Noone, Jr. (Jenna) and Gregory Noone (Alyssa Moore); her great-grandchildren, Trinity and Abigail Doyle, Kaiden and Kyle Mandolare and Jackson Noone; her sister, Ruth Murnane of Lakeland, Florida and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Millie was also the mother of the late Jeanne Marie Doyle and a sister of the late James Clinton, Mary Armada, Lillian Clinton, Thomas Clinton, John Clinton, Joseph Clinton, Anna Marie Gauthier, Catherine Cayton, Helen Christensen, Margaret Grady and Florence Kotowski.
Family and friends will honor and remember Millie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, March 6th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
