Muriel F. Beckstrom

Mrs. Muriel F. (Slamin) Beckstrom, of Waltham, died Monday, April 3, 2006 in the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 85. Born in Newton, Mrs. Beckstrom had lived in Waltham for many years. She was employed in the accounting department of the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston until her retirement. Mrs. Beckstrom was the wife of the late Francis E. Beckstrom, the daughter of the late Rudolph B. and Alice F. (Gerrety) Slamin, and the sister of the late Joseph Slamin. She is survived by her niece, Stephanie Watson of Brandon, Florida. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude's Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
