Watertown – Mrs. Myrna M. (Kinch) Delaney, of Watertown, died on July 5, 2012 in Norwood Hospital. She was 73.
Myrna was born in Prince Edward Island on December 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Earl and Lucy (McClellan) Kinch.
She was raised in Brookline where she graduated from high school and later lived in Somerville and Waltham before moving to Watertown nine years ago. She worked as an executive secretary at Polaroid until her retirement.
She was the wife of the late Eward A. 'Medee' Delaney.
She leaves her children, Laurie A. Brackett and her husband, Richard, and Brian F. Flaherty all of Watertown, and Melissa J. Flaherty of St. Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren, Robert, Emily, and Jack Brackett; her step-children Edward A. Delaney, Jr. of New Hampshire, Bernice M. Delaney of Connectitcut, and Judy Delaney, and her partner, Nancy McKenzie, of Carver; her brother and sisters Willard Kinch of Dedham, Shirley Dowling and Joanne Maranda both of Walpole and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Myrna's life by gathering for her calling hours on Sunday, July 8th, from 4-8 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 8 am on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be offered at 9 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham
