SHREWSBURY - Mrs. Nancy ‘Tina’ (Russo) Gorman died Friday, January 24, 2025 in The Willows in Worcester. She was 103.
Nancy was born September 20, 1921 in Cena, Italy a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Alfano) Russo. She was married to the late Leo Gorman until his death on August 9, 2002.
Tina loved fashion and had a wonderful sense of style. One of your first jobs as a young woman was modeling fur coats for the exclusive ‘Furs by Michael’. She also worked many years in the bridal department at Neiman Marcus. With her great eye she always found the right dress for the bride to be and made them all feel uniquely special. She was always dressed for the occasion and to perfection…whether lunch with the girls or to play cards or join her much loved Leo for lunch or dinner.
Travel was a big part of Tina’s life and she took many trips to Italy and Greece with Leo and friends. She loved to go to dances and cook for her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Leo, she was also predeceased by her former husband, Anthony 'Teddy' Tomaiolo and her son, Anthony J. ‘Tony’ Tomaiolo (late Kathleen); her daughter-in-law, Janina Tomaiolo; her sisters, Gloria Johnson and Nina Mastrogiovanni.
Tina leaves her children, Maria E. Tomaiolo of Newport, Rhode Island and Robert Tomaiolo of Prospect, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Lisa L. Combs (Paul), Mindy Lapierre (Steven), Tara Surabian (Stephen) and Anthony J.
