Nancy L. (Cannizzo) Johansen

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share that Nancy L. (Cannizzo) Johansen, of Brewster Lane in Acton, MA died on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Her family and friends would have loved to have more time with Nancy. We take solace in the fact that her sick days were few. Nancy was an amazing woman – kind, generous, nurturing, loving, fun.

Nancy raised two wonderful children, Peter Johansen and Kelly Johansen. Peter and Kelly were the heart of Nancy’s life. She loved them to the moon and back! Nancy was so proud of Peter’s many academic and professional accomplishments, especially his earning a PhD. Nancy took delight in Kelly’s sense of adventure. Nancy believed in the power of joy and community and Kelly creates those in abundance in her career as an event planner. Most of all, Nancy was thrilled that Kelly found the love of her life, Jessica Babinski.

Nancy cherished family and friends. She was a loving Auntie to Lisa Jensen-Fellows and her husband, Simon Jensen-Fellows and their children Myfanwy, Alexander and Theodore. She was cousin to Ronnie and Ricky Cannizzo.

Nancy gave loving caring to countless babies at Lincoln Laboratory Childcare Center. While there, she supported families and mentored colleagues. Nancy welcomed opportunities to be amidst nature – in good weather! Her favorite flower was the iris. Nancy had a true passion for books, especially children’s picture books.

A private burial service will take place at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
