Nancy R. Miner

Waltham – Ms. Nancy R. "Miney" Miner of Waltham died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Natick after a thirteeen month long battle with brain cancer. She was 77. Ms. Miner was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on August 10, 1935, a daughter of the late William E. and Helen L. (Davis) Miner.

Nancy lived in Waltham for over forty years and worked as a lab technician for the Raytheon Company for many years until her retirement .

She was a fun loving person who had a village of friends. As a child and young adult, Nancy loved to play sports, especially softball. In later years, she coached women's softball in Watertown. Nancy was an avid Red Sox fan who also enjoyed golf, bowling, playing cards, and an occasional trip to Foxwoods.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Muriel Wilson and her husband, Charles, of Harwichport, her dear friends, and several nieces and nephews.

She was the lifelong companion of the late Barbara M. Pagliarulo and the sister of the late Clyde Miner, Marjorie Brunt, and Beverly Towne.

Family and friends will honor and remember Nancy's life by gathering at 11:30 am on Monday, August 5th, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where her Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 pm. Burial will be follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
