Waltham – Mrs. Nancy M. (Cook) Perry, of Waltham, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her home. She was 73.
Nancy was born in Waltham on December 30, 1938, a daughter of the late Forest and Mildred (Greenway) Cook. A life-long Waltham resident she graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1957. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. As a homemaker Nancy was an excellent seamstress and cook. After she raised her two children she went to work and then went to college and received a degree in graphic design, which became her new career.
She was an accomplished amateur artist, working in both oils and water colors. She was an avid tennis player and took up skiing and golf in mid-life. She was a member of the Piety Corner Club for fifty years and had served as club president and on many committees. During the last few years she was an active member of the Golden Tones, a chorus for people of retirement age.
Nancy is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Chauncy S. Perry; her children, Cynthia S. DellaCamera and her husband, Dan, of Nashua, New Hampshire and Lisa N. Dawe of Royalston; her grandchildren, Michael DellaCamera of Nashua, New Hampshire, Matthew Dawe of Winthrop, Alyssa DellaCamera of Bedford, New Hampshire and Erik Dawe of Waltham; her brother, Donald F. Cook of Newton and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Nancy's life by gathering to visit from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 30th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and will conclude with a period of Memory Sharing at 3 p.m.
