Nicholas J. Mosca

Mr. Nicholas J. Mosca, of Plymouth, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was 77. Nick was born in Cambridge on July 2, 1932, a son of the late Anthony and Florence (Nardone) Mosca and had been a Waltham resident before moving to Plymouth five years ago. He worked as a quality control supervisor for many years at the Raytheon Corporation until his retirement. Nick was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post #156 in Waltham. He loved to travel. Nick is survived by his brother, James Mosca and his wife, Louise, of Somerville; his sister, Mary A. Carbone and her husband, Robert, of Tewskbury; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Mosca of LaJolla, California and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Angela Witt and Carlo Mosca. Family and friends will honor and remember Nick's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Anthony's Shrine, 100 Arch Street, Boston, MA 02110.
