September 20, 1924 — January 22, 2013

Waltham – Mrs. Norma F. (Hapenny) Caisey, of Waltham, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 88.

Norma was born in Waltham on September 20, 1924, a daughter of the late George A. and Emma M. (Barnes) Hapenny, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and during the 'War Years' of the early to mid-1940's she was a volunteer at the former Murphy Army Hospital on Trapelo Road.

Norma worked for a time at the Waltham Watch Factory where she became an award winning bowler on the company team. She kept busy raising her daughters and found her greatest joy in their accomplishments and in being around long enough to see the birth of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Until her retirement she worked as a sales associate at Marcou Jewelers on Moody Street and found relaxation in the company of her family, classic television shows and listening to her favorite crooners, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams.

She leaves her children, Cheryl A. Marcou and her husband, Bob, of Waltham, Debbie L. Graves and her husband, Daren, of Booth Bay Harbor, Maine and Pattie L. Caisey of Woburn; her grandchildren, Amanda Brennan and her husband, Chris, Melanie Marcou and her partner, Alison Holmes, David Murray and his wife, Angelica, Sarah Clark and her husband, Donnie, Matthew Jacobs and his wife, Meghann and Marissa Jacobs; her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Parker Brennan, Keegan and Miles Murray and Ryan, Abbie and Ethan Clark; her sister, Patricia Beck and her husband, Ed, of Braintree; her lifelong friend, Eileen Rochleau, and several nieces and nephews.

Norma was also a sister of the late Dorothy McPherson and George Hapenny, Jr.

Family and friends will honor and remember Norma's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, January 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning when her funeral service will be held.
