Norma M. Riggs

Mrs. Norma M. (Leger) Riggs of Waltham, died Monday, June 25, 2012, in the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 79. Mrs. Riggs was born in Brighton on September 4, 1932, a daughter of the late Edgar Leger and Mary (Cormier) (Leger) Bourgeois.

Norma lived in Waltham for the past fifty years and enjoyed bingo.

She was the mother of the late Thomas Riggs and the sister-in-law of the late Janet Legere, Paul Burns, and Frank Therault.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Sullivan and her husband, Michael, of Scarborough ME, Gordon Riggs and Sandra Riggs both of Waltham, and Jackie Riggs of Daytona FL. ; her grandchildren, Courtney Jacek, and her husband, Jeremiah, Jamie Sullivan, Lauren Sullivan, and Paul Arsenault; her siblings, Gerard Legere of Chelmsford, Jeannette Burns of Lynn, Helen Alagna and her husband, John, of Waltham, and Linda Therault of Peabody; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Norma's life by gathering for her calling hours on Thursday from 4-8 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9 am on Friday before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
