Waltham Mrs. Olivia R. (Sears) Walker, of Waltham, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Lahey Clinic, Burlington. She was 78. Olivia was born on July 1, 1930 in Gloucester, a daughter of the late John and Julia (OConnor) Sears and had been a Waltham resident for the past fifty-six years. She was a graduate of Bryant Secretarial School in Copley Square and had worked as a loan officer for Household Finance in Central Square, Cambridge before leaving to raise her family. Olivia was a longtime parishioner of Our Ladys Church in Waltham. She was an avid bingo player and a bowler at the Wal-Lex in Waltham. She leaves her husband, George B. Walker; her children, Steven G. Walker and his wife, Maura, of Swindon, England and Ronald J. Walker and his companion, Stacey A. Conway of Easton; her grandchildren, Aoife and Niamh Walker; her brother, Jerome T. Sears of Palmer and many nieces and nephews. Olivia was also the sister of the late Donald M., Eugene R., John J. and Gerald D. Sears. Family and friends will honor and remember Olivias life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
