Waltham – Mr. Ottorio P. “Tom” Collura, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 87.
Tom was born in Waltham on May 8, 1920, a son of the late Giuseppe and Rosalie (Marella) Collura, and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Waltham High School and served with the United States Army during World War II.
He worked for many years as a custodian for the Waltham School Department and after that, Tom worked for Little Brown Publishing Company in Waltham. He was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Waltham.
Tom was predeceased by his siblings, Onofrio “Jeff”, Alphonse “Fofo”, Biaggio “Babe”, Vincenzo “Jimmy”, Samuel, Salvina “Babs” Stevens, and Salvatore “Midge” Collura and is survived by nieces and nephews, Elaine, Joann, Richard, Billy, Robert, Rosalee, Jane and the late Bill. He is also leaves many grand nieces and grand nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 31st from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
