Weston – Mr. Pasquale R. ‘Pat’ Caia of Weston died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 87. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Rosario and Angelina (Carrubba) Caia, he graduated from Waltham High School in 1937. During World War II he served as a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army in General George Patton’s Third Army in Europe. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sudbury and the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post No. 156 in Waltham. Pat was a Weston resident for the past forty-five years and until his retirement in 1998 he owned the Jim Adams Tavern in Waltham. The husband of the late Margaret J. (Tomasetti) Caia, he leaves two sons, Robert Caia of Newbury, New Hampshire and Thomas S. Caia of Plymouth; two sisters, Mary Pollara of Quincy and Coridina Maniscalco of Los Angeles, California; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Richard P. Caia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julia’s Church, Boston Post Road, Weston at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
