Patricia A. "Patty" (Ranucci) Aucoin, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home with her loved ones by her side. She was born on November 1, 1942, in Waltham to the late Anthony J. and Margaret P. (Connearney) Ranucci.
Patty grew up in Waltham and attended Saint Charles High School. She started working as a teenager at Patty's Donuts on High Street and later worked at Cybertronics on Calvary Street. After graduating from Robert and Richard Beauty Academy, she was a hairdresser at Mr. Joseph's Beauty Salon on Moody Street. She then went on to work for HBM Electronics in Natick before later becoming a housekeeper at several homes in the MetroWest area.
Throughout her life, Patty had many passions but the most important of these was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved bowling and was a member of several leagues over the years at the Wal-Lex on Lexington Street and at South Junior High School. In addition, she enjoyed playing Bingo at various local venues, was an avid card player, and loved going to Foxwoods every now and then.
Patty is survived by her children, Linda J. Deveaux (Wayne) of Waltham, Maebeth Bradley (John) of Berlin, Nadine M. Tucci (Patrick) of Sterling and William A. Brier Jr. (Katie Noble) of Fall River; her grandchildren, Justin and Brendon Deveaux, John DeRosa Jr., Sean Bradley, Joey and Jennifer Tucci, Shawn, Brianna, Timothy, Benjamin, Brayden and Ella Brier; her siblings, Jean Marie Butler of Waltham, Anthony Ranucci of Marlboro, Margaret Pittorino of Concord, Charlene Cormier of Harvard, Karen Maines of Mashpee, Pamela Roche of Acton and Richard Ranucci of Lowell; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Patty was preceded in death by her late sisters and brothers, Joseph Ranucci, Lorraine Allain, Mary Frigault, and William Ranucci, as well as her late former husband, John O. Aucoin.
Throughout her life, Patty left an indelible impression on those around her through her kindness, compassion, and sense of humor.
Family and friends will honor and remember Patty's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, May 8th from 9 to 11 a.m. before leaving in procession to Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham where committal services will be held.
