Clearwater – Patricia Ann Howarth, 66, of Clearwater, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 12, 2022.
Born December 03, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts, Patricia was the twin sister of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Fitzgerald, beloved daughters of the late Mary Ellen O'Malley Tierney and late Bernard J. Tierney of Waltham, Massachusetts. Patricia attended Waltham High School.
Patricia loved being a local artist, an antique collector, and a Christian poet and songwriter. She enjoyed meeting a wide array of people during her time of being self-employed. Her conversations about art and literature would often lead to her sharing a word of encouragement, advice, or a much-welcomed prayer. She was loved by all who knew her.
Patricia had a strong faith in God and was an active member of several churches, Bible study groups, and Christian organizations throughout her life.
Patricia was also a tea connoisseur who enjoyed few things as much as an early morning cup of Red Rose tea and conversation. She loved to talk history and politics and was an enthusiastic advocate of progressive views. She loved her country.
Patricia was preceded in death by her son Kevin Acuff and daughter Samantha Acuff, her brothers Bernard Joseph (BJ) Tierney and Sean Joseph Tierney, all of Waltham, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her husband Richard Howarth, Clearwater; children Tawney Acuff and Bridget Acuff, Clearwater, and Kat Howarth Ramirez and husband Juan Ramirez, Fort Lauderdale; grandchildren, Dylan Acuff and Isaiah Acuff, Clearwater, and Richard Howarth and Serenity Howarth; siblings Elizabeth Fitzgerald and late husband Kurt Wheeler, Kevin Andrew Tierney, Micheal P. Tierney, Mary Ellen Hambright, Francis J Tierney, Daniel Tierney, and Kathleen Morissey and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, March 17th, 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, and a funeral Mass will be held directly afterwards on Thursday, March 18th, 10:30 a.m. St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater, followed by interment at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo, Florida.
